Our work consists in safekeeping the artistic heritage of advertising that we consider as a sociological trace of the twentieth century civilization. Our restoration studio proposes unique know-how in the conservation of old paper, of museum mounting and restoration of vintage poster. If you have an original old poster, Galerie 1 2 3 Studio is at your service.
In this academic project, we've been asked to design a poster for the Archigram exhibition. Adam designed a typeface based both on original Archigram's drawings and designs of Armin Hoffmann from the sixties.

But what has been their contribution to posterity This powerful and revealing exhibition summarises, for the years 1961 to 1974, the strength, veracity, and inspiration the group provided to the European and global architectural community. The essence of this exhibition was first shown (launched seems to be a more appropriate word) in the Vienna Kunsthalle, in 1994. It has had a number of limited showings in other cities since then. And after the current show at the Design Museum in London, it moves across to Japan.
To create the piece, the posters (all originals taken from the archives) were fixed to the walls of the Piper Gallery and photographed in order to create a floor- to-ceiling representation of the posters in their actuality. The historicity of these posters is brought to light and made very real, as some posters are exhibited with their slight creases or with their corners captured rolling upwards as they slowly unfurl from the wall, leaving small squares of Blu-Tack visible behind.
The artist is still at the foreground of the poster but in a very different way.Their artwork is still displayed but the focus shifts more towards the advertisement and marketing of the artist alongside that of the museum- dual layers of marketing and branding within one piece. 59ce067264
